Autumn is Coming in Fast

Well it's hard to believe that Fall will be here in just a few days but what is more incredible is how much colour there is out there already. As a photographer, I keep my eye on the colour changes because there are so many people who want to finally capture some pictures and for some reason they believe the Fall offers the best background.

I will agree and disagree on this one. Fall offers many wonderful backdrops to capture as a photographer. I cannot wait to get out and about capturing many of the wonderful spots we share in our province.

As for having your pictures taken this time of year ...... you should really think about a few things first. Like where are you going to want to hang your pictures in your home. You are going to hang them right? Would pastels and muted tones look better or do the reds, oranges and yellows blend perfectly on your walls. Are you going for B&W photos? These are things to consider. Maybe you just want an amazing Fall scene to grace your walls. Maybe you should buy local scenery prints instead. (I do offer a variety of prints from all over Nova Scotia)

Late fall offers really incredible muted tones which allows you to wear bright colours. Colours that go with your home decor. It also offers lots of textures which add interest to your images. Of course you have to deal with colder temperatures and it's possible you may have to wear a sweater, but the end result will be a treasure on your wall, mo matter what your decor style is.

Even the weeds turn colours in the late fall

The image below was taken in February of this year. We do get some pretty great weather late in the year and very early in the year when there are no leaves on the trees. Go figure.
